Children are not permitted in the school grounds before 8.15 am
School starts
at 8.50 am
Children are expected to be at school, ready to start work at this time. A bell is rung at 8.15 to signal the time for entry into school.
School finishes
at 3.00 pm
Please ensure that your child is collected or arrangements made for them by 3.15 pm. If your child is not there for you after school as expected, or does not return home, please contact us immediately.
Absences
If your child is absent from school, please telephone the school office after 8am and before 9am to let us know.
Newsletters
A school newsletter is sent home with your child every second FRIDAY of the school term, starting from the end of the first week. This is an important form of communication and will contain important messages, dates and information that you will need. Please ensure that you check your child’s school bag on Fridays.
Uniform
Pakuranga Heights School has a compulsory school uniform. Children are encouraged to take pride in their uniform and uniform checks are made twice a year. Uniform is only available from our school uniform shop which is open before school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please call the school office if you need to make arrangements to purchase uniform outside of these hours.
School Lunches
School lunches and morning teas may be purchased from a menu through our lunchroom. Orders MUST be written on an envelope with the money inside and placed in the lunch order box in the classroom before school. Food MAY NOT be purchased directly from the lunchroom by students. The menu is changed from time to time and these are sent home with the newsletter. Additional copies are available from the school office.
