Transition to School Pre-School Programme
Pakuranga Heights School run a pre-school programme for helping children to transition into the primary school setting.
We are now taking enrolments for 4.5 year old children who wish to join this new programme.
- Monday afternoons from 1.50pm – 3pm.
- Term time for 8 weeks
- Cost $80 paid in advance (or $10 per session)
- Qualified teacher and teacher aide
- 15 students maximum.
Each term there will be a theme that will be integrated to cover the following:
Literacy and Numeracy
- Alphabet – recognition of letters and sounds
- Writing opportunities
- Counting, shapes, proportions (Math concepts)
Social Skills
- Development of routines
- Co-operative play
- Responding to expectations

Please note your child does not have to be enrolled to start at our school to attend this programme,
however, children intending to start at PHS will be given first priority.
