We are counting down the days to our exciting cultural evening in just over two and half weeks’ time. I’m sure by now that your children have spoken to you about the exciting items they will be performing during the evening. We are looking forward to a fantastic night of dancing, singing, delicious food, music, and a celebration of cultures and community get-together. We have cultural items from around our community as well. Please make sure this date is on your family calendar as we would love all students and families to attend, even if not performing.
As part of this celebration we ask that you provide a dessert or sweet snack of some sort from your culture to sell during the evening. For example, this could be biscuits, cake, desserts or sweets from your culture, toffee or fudge. A container with a label will be sent home to all students on Wednesday 19 March. Please bring all food to the hall on the Friday morning (21st March) before school or if it is perishable, after school at 3 pm. Mrs O’Kelly will be there to organise these. Please note – all food must be clearly labelled with ingredients, particularly if containing nuts or eggs.
Mehndi/Henna Hand Painting
Are there any parents out there who would be keen to organise and set up a hand painting stall on the night? The school would reimburse any costs involved. Please phone Helen French at school or email email@example.com if you are interested in helping.
Thank you so much for your support of this exciting event. We look forward to seeing you during the evening.
